European Directories is a pan-European local search and lead generation company providing local commercial search for consumers and lead generation to advertisers.

European Directories have market-leading positions in the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Gibraltar. With over 5,000 employees and over 750,000 customers.

Formed in July 2005 following the acquisition of the Yellow Brick Road Group by a consortium led by Macquarie who then, in November 2005, also purchased TDC’s search and directory businesses in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. In 2008 European Directories acquired Ditel in Poland and Gouden Gids in the Netherlands.

As Head of SEO, I advocate, co-ordinate and drive new usage through search engine optimisation and search marketing and promote best-practice behavior for search amongst the operating companies.
